Our aim is to promote more sustainable lifestyle choices in Dulwich

The big challenge for Dulwich is
reducing our carbon footprint

Dulwich Going Greener is a voluntary organisation (registered charity 1120682) set up by concerned, local people, who want more to be done - as a priority - to protect our environment.
We want it to be easier for local residents, businesses and organisations to make greener lifestyle choices - and to make the idea of a truly low carbon Dulwich a reality.
How urgent is this? The scientific concensus is that the sooner we take steps to reduce carbon emissions, the better.

Who we are

Dulwich Going Greener was established as a community group in autumn 2006.
We are now working to build our membership among local residents, individuals and families. We welcome contributions from everyone who wants to participate and support our aims.

DGG was established with the valuable assistance of funding from UnLtd, which is a charitable organisation set up by seven leading organisations that promote social entrepreneurship.

The Committee

Dulwich Going Greener is run by a volunteer committee of residents in and around SE21 and SE22 (including East, North and West Dulwich, and Herne Hill as well as Dulwich Village).
The founding committee members are: Alpha Hopkins (Co-Director of the Dulwich Festival); Juliet Filose (East Dulwich resident for 19 years; believer in 'Nobody made a greater mistake than he who did nothing because he could only
do a little');
Philip Stamp (Philip has lived in West Dulwich for the last 7 years and works on sustainable consumption policy for the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs); Niki Parker (retired - but not retiring - grandmother; attempting to reduce her carbon footsteps); Bruno Guillaume (local resident & environmental adviser); and Nigel Blackman (father of two; motorist who has recently begun cycling a lot)
